Refund & Returns Policy

Clear guidelines for deposits, cancellations, refunds, and event commitments.

Refund and Returns Policy

At Rivara Catering & Events Ltd., we understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to our clients while protecting the time, planning, staffing, and resources dedicated to each event.

Deposit Requirement

A deposit equal to 50% of the total booking amount is required to secure your event date. Once the deposit has been received, planning, scheduling, staffing, and preparation for your event may begin.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation More Than 15 Days Before the Event

If the event is cancelled more than fifteen (15) days before the scheduled event date, 50% of the deposit paid will be refunded.

Example:

  • Total Event Value: $10,000
  • Deposit Paid: $5,000
  • Refund Issued: $2,500

Cancellation 8 to 14 Days Before the Event

If the event is cancelled between eight (8) and fourteen (14) days before the scheduled event date, the deposit is non-refundable. At this stage, planning and scheduling commitments have already been made, and the event date may no longer be available to other clients.

Cancellation Within 7 Days of the Event

If the event is cancelled seven (7) days or less before the scheduled event date, the deposit is non-refundable and the client remains responsible for the full contracted amount. At this stage, food purchases, staffing commitments, rentals, custom items, and other event-related expenses have likely been incurred or committed on the client’s behalf.

Custom Orders

Custom cakes, desserts, specialty menu items, personalized décor, rentals, and other custom-made products or services are non-refundable once production, purchasing, or preparation has commenced.

Refund Processing

Any approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm and secure the event date.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due on the day of the event, prior to the commencement of services.
  • No event date is considered reserved until the required deposit has been received.
